Journey Onwards

Just came here from ProjectComment tag game and my word was "adventure"! A lot of your works portray some movement and give me the feeling that there's something about to happen in the moment you "captured" that scene; however, not all of them exactly fit the theme "adventure"... because, even thought you can almost taste the action, I feel like it may be something more related to a fight/conflict (like this one) or something sinister.

Anyway, I choose this because the owl seems really flustered, excited to go somewhere, as the girl follows her lead. That's a funny-interesting creature, actually I think the shading on the clouds and the background trees looks beautiful and smooth. Nice job on that!

The girl's anatomy looks a bit unrealistic, however, what bothers me a lot is the river. It's a bit out of perspective, it doesn't quite look like it's in the background, attached to the ground. I think this effect may be caused by the texture you choose for the grass around it, it looks a bit strange in comparison with the smoothness of the river. Maybe you could have painted it with darker tones... i sincerely don't know what to say/recommend, I'm not a expert in perspective myself~ however, I think that could be improved.

Overall I liked your piece, it looks like it's telling a story. Are they running from the storm? Are they going into the storm (well more likely lol)?
