Muskeeter Watching

Description

This was requested by SarahWidiyanti some time ago, who wanted their character Muskeeter drawn. I originally drew this character in May, but scrapped the drawing when my older laptop was going on the fritz... and because it wasn't turning out right. A few months later, this came out. While I'm not satisfied completely with his face, I do like everything else. I opted for a more realistic face just to get practice in, but he turned out much older than I anticipated. Still, I hope you all like it.

Lovely colourful painting!

Great job on the background - it's detailed and exciting, full of colour and life. The tower could possibly be blurred out a bit as well, but other than that it's a job well done.
The character's clothes are nicely coloured and shaded but it might help if the edges (shoulders, edges of the tunic) were more rounded. The "interior" areas of the clothes are very nicely shaded, but the edges become flat because the shading doesn't smooth out around the edges. Consider how a ball is shaded and attempt to apply that kind of smoothing and dappering off of edges to every shape, even shapes that are more sharp than round. It could be that it is simply that the shapes themselves are too sharp and even - usually clothing has many folds and uneven areas as it conforms to the body (here is an example 34 Clothing Folds).
This is sort of hard to explain but I hope it made some sense Llama Emoji-06 (Depress) [V1]

Keep up the good work :)
